Dairy Free Tea Party Sandwiches with Lemon, Strawberry or Cucumber & Chive Cream Cheese
Cook Together, Eat Together: Let’s Throw a Tea Party
Is a tea party truly a tea party without a cream cheese sandwich? We think not.
They are fun to cut into different shapes and sizes. Part of our mission to be more food inclusive while throwing a party is to have cream cheese sandwiches that are both dairy full, dairy free or vegan.
We hope you enjoy our take on lactose free or vegan cream cheese sandwiches. We used strawberries, cucumber, lemon, rosemary, and vinegar to create different, fun combinations packed with flavor.

- 1/2 tsp fresh lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp minced rosemary

- 1/4 cup cucumber
instructions:

- While cream cheese comes to room temperature, dice strawberries into small cubes.
- Add vinegar and strawberries in a bowl. Let sit for 1 - 2 minutes.
- Fold in cream cheese.
- Add honey and enjoy.
- Bring cream cheese to room temperature and soften.
- While cream cheese comes to room temperature, juice and zest the lemon and mince the rosemary.
- Mix lemon juice and cream cheese, then add rosemary and zest.
- Enjoy.
- Bring cream cheese to room temperature and soften.
- While cream cheese comes to room temperature, peel, seed and dice the cucumber.
- Mix cucumber into the cream cheese and enjoy.
NOTES:
One container of cream cheese is 8 oz, so if you prefer to make one flavor for the whole container then we suggest doubling the recipe. For the Meyer lemon cream cheese you can add more zest or lemon juice to taste depending on your liking. For lactose free cream cheese we used Green Valley. We suggest using Kite Hill if you would like to make the lactose free cream cheese flavors dairy free.
